glebe amenities building

The design of a freestanding amenities building in Wentworth Park Glebe. The design proposes a continuous bending facade around the pavilions entire perimeter, promoting circulation around the building and park. Generously proportioned internal wash areas are partially open to the sky and park, providing natural ventilation and privacy, whilst discretely discouraging ongoing use. Additional public functions are contained within the buildings perimeter such as water outlets and seating, whilst at night the building illuminates the park with its glowing translucent outer walls. Materials are robust and economically detailed, including paint finished plywood interiors, Plexiglas acrylic perimeter walls and off-form concrete.
